Dr Husam Kanon

Dr Husam Kanon is an academic researcher interested in the studies of housing architecture. His academic work draws on the considerable experience in the field of architectural design, including five years of study for a Bachelor of Architecture, and eight years of working in architectural practice. Previously, he has worked on a joint research project between Newcastle University and a business to explore ways of improving positive quality of life and wellbeing of older people living in retirement dwellings using smart home technology. In his current role with At Home with Children team, Dr Husam is working on developing the focus group methodology and co-design process bringing his expertise and knowledge in housing design.
